Statistics can be interpreted to reflect any side that you are debating. Considering this article is about womans hair loss we will concentrate on that aspect.

Is a womans loss of hair less important than a man? Of course it isn't but one can argue that the number of women afflicted with this problem is less than men. So therefore it's less important.

Quite contrary to the facts. There's an adage that states that "men like to have hair but women need to have hair".

Hair to women is like oxygen to the human body. Society is used to seeing bald men but a bald woman? I think not.

The trend for hair loss in women is that it seems to be afflicting women at an earlier age. There are many factors that can lead up to this problem.

One of the many psychological barriers is the point of women assuming more roles that traditionally were filled by men. The stress induced positions causes the body to react in some instances that may preclude this situation.

I know it's sounds impossible but it is plausible that a core reason why women are afflicted at earlier ages is because of the stressed induced work environment.

But really, is a womans hair loss any different from a man? Not really but we must first understand the cycle that hair growth takes to fully understand it.

To put simply the hair growth cycle allows about 1/2 inch of growth monthly. This growth period lasts between 2 and 6 years. Then the hair strand goes into a rest period then falls out. Normally a new hair growth will take place of the older follicle.

It is when the new growth doesn't take place on a massive scale is when the problem starts. It doesn't matter if the scalp depicts a male or female the process is the same. No growth is no growth and it must be treated to recover the hair.

Treatment plans must be formed to find a cure to regrow the hair.

But getting back to the main point here on the importance of women versus men in the loss of hair.

Physiologically there is no difference. But psychologically there is a world of difference. Issues on the side of the woman have not been as predominant as men. For whatever reason the initial line of reason was that the condition of women were second in line to a man.

That has changed drastically but I need for you to understand that aspect because that is basically the reason why hair growth remedies for women have been lacking.
